A message from the Founder…

Currently in her eighth year, Tara Murney is a Board Certified Wedding Coordinator and an Instructor for The Wedding Planners Institute of Canada. She has been using her creativity, passion and expertise gaining respect and a reputable stature within the wedding industry.
In 2007 she woke with a fresh vision; a vision that would allow her to utilize her talents and knowledge and offer clients a choice like none other. Intrigued by the new “green” movement that was whispers here and there she found herself astonished by the lack of information regarding eco-friendly weddings and vendors within the industry. It is very apparent that weddings are on the rise and that being said, generate considerable waste. Tara decided the best way to help reduce this wastefulness and environmental damage is to change her role, not only as a Coordinator but as a company for the traditional bride. She wanted to expand her knowledge and experience elsewhere; somewhere with “greener” pastures we could say. It was this fresh vision and passion that launched A Green Tie Affair, created for the environmentally aware and chic modern couple who wish to reduce their carbon footprint, ultimately producing unique, elegant, eco-events with a social conscience. Choosing to incorporate a full scale of greenness or simple yet elegant elements of green, Tara teaches her clientele how to balance personal celebration and how to be environmental responsible in the process. It’s a simple as choice.
