(Eco-Chic) Eco-Conscious Wedding Certification Program

This Certification program allows Wedding Coordinators and/or Vendors to be recognized and awarded for their environmental and social responsibility as a Wedding Supplier. This program was built on a foundation in which we all have an environmental and social responsibility to our clients and to our planet. This certification not only allows you to demonstrate your “Green” practices but it will also raise the bar on standards within the Wedding and Event Industry. There is no renewal membership and/or annual certification, yet candidates must meet universal requirements and provide a “Green” Mission Statement on their website.
This course is only available through Correspondence.

Designation:

Certified Ecologically-Conscious Wedding Coordinator (EWC) as per the Private Career Colleges Act or Ecologically-Conscious Vendor Certification (EVC).

Prerequisites:

This program is only available to Wedding Coordinators or Wedding Vendors. This program is an added specialization of the Wedding Consultant and Coordination Certificate. *This course does not certify you as a Wedding Coordinator, you must complete the Wedding Coordinator Certification Course to be a Certified Wedding Planner/Coordinator at www.wpic.ca

Investment:

$200 (includes manual, exam & grading and upon successful completion-a Certificate with official seal)

Duration:

Student will have 3 months to complete the manual, write and submit the qualifying exam.

How to plan an Ecologically and Socially Responsible Wedding - Where do you start - a Carbon Footprint and Offsetting - A Breakdown of the elements of Weddings and Green Alternatives (Jewelry, Invitations, Floral, Decor, Transportation, Wedding Dresses and Attendants' Clothing, Venues, Wedding Favors, Accommodations, Photography, Catering, Cakes, etc.) - Alternative Disposables - "Eco" products to beware of - A look into Eco-Friendly Organizations and Charities - How to find Reputable Vendors - Ways to make your business Eco-friendly and more.
